Stateline Landscaping LLC was transformed into an LLC in May 2004; In previous years it operated as a sole proprietership. The company believes in professional education for landscape care & installation. The owner Matthew Bottali is a 2005 graduate of the University of Connecticut, he was enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Matt was a scholarship awardee in February 2005 for outstanding academic work in his agronomy and horticultural classes.

As mentioned, Matt is a college educated landscaper with the necessary real world experience. His classes were focused on the care and installation of landscape plants, including turf, evergreen, perennial and annual plants & shrubs.

Matt & staff are always on the look-out for new classes & seminars to continue their knowledge of landscape related topics. Many classes taken are hands-on which leads to more efficient work habits and pricing of services & products.

Matt is also in the process of taking the Certified Landscape Technician tests. The test is rigorous and thoroughly tests the landscapers knowledge of plants, equipment, and business. The tests are completely unrequired in the state of Connecticut, as you'll find most landscapers are not CLT certificate holders.
