Learn a little about the owner
Matthew Bottali is the owner and operator of Stateline Landscape LLC. The company was formed while Matthew attended the University of Connecticut. He was enrolled in the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources to pursue an Associates Degree in Agronomy. Because of the university's great flexibility he was able to tailor his course load to encompass both turf and horticultural based courses. Matthew was awarded a scholarship in February 2005 for excellence in his courses by the Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association.
Get to know Matt: Matthew Bottali was born and raised in Ridgefield, CT. As a child he spent countless hours mowing the lawn and helping out around the house with landscape chores. He attended all Ridgefield schools, Ridgebury Elementary School, East Ridge Middle School and finally Ridgefield High School. He graduated in June of 2001. Matthew attended Naugatuck Community College in Waterbury, CT for two years after high school. He achieved an Asscociates Degree in Computer Networking & Administration. During this time the business was started as a part time venture.
In years prior Matthew was employed at DHYL Ridge Golf Course, just up the road from his house while he was in high school. Working on the golf course sparked his interest in lawn care. It wasn't long before he was mowing the neighborhood lawns with a small mower. That small push mower quickly became too slow. He took the plunge and purchased a used commercial unit from a local dealer. Then came the other tools like a cheap Sears Craftsman weed whacker and blower. It wasn't long until he purchased true commercial equipment to improve quality of service and effeciency.
